CHARACTER OF THE FIRM
This firm is an offshoot of one that was originally created in 1973. It is a group of professionals, paraprofessionals, and secretaries dedicated to serving our clients. We have attorneys admitted to practice in Delaware and Virginia. This firm is a traditional law firm – it is engaged in the general practice of law. It is not a “boutique” firm with a narrow specialty. Because we engage in general practice, it is our philosophy to protect our clients in all matters involving their family or business.
However, there are several areas of the practice of law to which we have been heavily committed: Litigation and Arbitration, Personal Injury and Workers’ Compensation, Government Affairs and Legislation, Administrative Law and Government Resolutions, Corporate, Partnership, and Small Business Law, Real Estate Law, Debt Collection and Bankruptcy Law, Maintenance Corporation Law, Family Law, Wills and Trusts, and Criminal Law and Motor Vehicle Offenses. Please see the Practice Areas page for a description of each of our practice areas.
Professionalism
We derive our professional pride from handling and resolving matters for our clients efficiently and effectively. Our successes are measured by our many satisfied clients. The growth of our firm will continue to be nourished by our clients and their referrals.
We believe that the members of our firm should be involved in their community. We encourage public service and active participation in many hobbies and social activities. A person with broad interests makes a better lawyer to serve a client.
You are encouraged to question any of us concerning the type of work we do. Our fees are agreed to in advance. It is our philosophy that a client has a right to inquire about costs and the status of his legal matter at any time. We can be reached by phone or by email (info@cbhearnlaw.com) – see the Contact Us page for our full contact information.
